PhobiAR is an augmented reality (AR) app developed for cat, dog, spider and cockroach phobias that can be used by mental health professionals and individuals suffer from specific phobia.
It has been developed as an alternative to exposure which is effective technique for specific phobia and used in cognitive behavior therapies. PhobiAR offers significant advantages to both therapists and clients with its augmented reality (AR) technology, providing solutions to the limitations of traditional exposure. The application can be used by mental health professionals in therapy sessions, as well as by clients outside the session as a part of home practices.
